What happens if I arrive after 9:00PM on Friday after conference registration has ended?
If you arrive after 9:00 PM you can still check into the hotel. Conference registration will resume in the morning during breakfast so you can collect your conference materials then.
Will there be any onsite registration available?
No, there will only be onsite check-in going on to hand out your conference agenda, information packet, and nametag.
How and where do I pay for the conference?
Payment can be made via OneSHPE or paid to your chapter. If you are not currently a SHPE member, please contact David E. Sanchez at 979-492-5128 to set up your payment or click here to learn how to become a member.
Where is the Conference Registration Table?
Registration is at the Marriott Worthington on the Mezzanine Level (2nd floor) in the Post Oak room - look for the signs pointing the way up the escalators.
Where should I park? Is there free parking at the hotel?
Hotel parking costs are $14 daily for self park and $21 daily for Valet parking. There is also free parking available on the corner of 2nd and Commerce St, one block down from the hotel.
How many students total are attending this conference?
Our target for the conference is:
- 200 College students
- 50 Professionals
I can't attend on Friday, should I still sign up for the conference?
Yes! The workshops will begin on Saturday morning, so you will still be able to participate in the majority of the events for the weekend.
I'd like to volunteer to help out during the conference, who should I contact?

What is the housing situation? Will I have to share a room?
Students will be divided 4 members to a room - all of the same gender.
Professionals will be paired 2 members to a room - all of the same gender.
If you have a rooming preference, please turn in your requests by February 22 to Naomi Hernandez at Naomi.Hernandez@FritoLay.com
You do not need to sign up at the same time to be in the same room, so sign up today!
Is there a shuttle from the airport to the hotel?
The hotel does not provide a shuttle, however the Super Shuttle is available for $17 one way and must be set up beforehand
Bus service from the airport is $20 one way
Estimated taxi fare is $55 one way from DFW Airport
I have a food allergy, who should I contact to make arrangements for an alternate meal?
Please contact Ayeshanill Spring at 817-762-3273 to set up an alternative meal selection friendly to your needs.

Create business cards if you don't have any already
Be sure to pay for the conference either via OneSHPE or through your chapter
