Recently, on June 14 the SHPE LM Aero - Fort Worth prof  essional chapter held its annual end of the year awards luncheon and networker. The purpose of this event is to bring our members together so that may have the opportunity to network with other current, new, or potential SHPE members and company executives.The awards banquet allows us the opportunity to reflect back on the chapter accomplishments and achievements over the past year, present the current state of the chapter to LM executive leadership and potential members, introduce the newly elected incoming chapter officers, and most importantly recognize and thank the volunteers for all their hard work and time put into the organization help make the chapter successful by achieving our goals/objectives. The event this year was held in the LM Aero Executive Conference Center multi-purpose room where we had over 30 SHPE members attend and 10 LM company senior executives director and above. The lunch was sponsored by our SHPE LM Aero executive sponsor, Tom Bradley. Our keynote guest speaker was Lorraine Martin, LM Aero Executive Vice President and General Manager of the F-35 Program. Lorraine 's message gave some insightful knowledge on the importance of and connecting our volunteer service through SHPE to the development of future full spectrum leadership at Lockheed Martin. The 2013 SHPE LM Aero special award winners introduced at the banquet went to the following: President Award #1 (Community Outreach/Service) - Efrain Vega President Award #2 (Most Engaged Member) - Marlene Zamora President Award #3 (Newest Rising SHPE Star) - Alisa Woideck SHPE Member of the Year - Charlie Ruiz "Honorary SHPE Captain" Award - Tom Bradley, LM Aero VP of Finance/Program Management and SHPE LM Aero Executive Sponsor Tom went above and beyond by attending numerous SHPE events, provided support for many of our luncheons, offered up corporate speakers for many of our events, played in our golf tournament, attended the SHPE National Conference in Fort Worth, and was willing to meet with the chapter board of directors on a quarterly basis to work out issues, identify areas of need, get updates on chapter events, and learn about current chapter performance. SHPE LM Aero would like to thank all of the volunteers and the people who attended the luncheon as well as the 2012-2013 SHPE LM Aero Executive Board of Directors for their efforts to make everything happen. We wish the incoming SHPE LM Aero 2013-2014 chapter leadership the best of luck as the prepare to transition an continue the success and legacy that this chapter has built!!!!! |
