On February 27, 2016, The National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) will be hosting the 2016 Annual College Prep Day here at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Fort Worth. The purpose of College Prep Day is to give area students insight into what to expect upon entering a college or university. Through various presentations, such as “Pathway to Success” and “Getting Ready for College,” students will be exposed to tools, knowledge, and personal experiences that will assist them in preparing for their next exciting steps. Students will also learn about the multitude of methods to finance their post-high school education and provide techniques and tips on managing student loans and reducing the overall cost of higher education. The College Prep Day experience will wrap-up with a college fair staffed by alumni representing their respective schools and a tour of our F-35 production line. The goal of this event is to impact as many students as possible, so if you know of a student grades 9-12 that is in a science-based program in school or interested in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) discipline, please encourage them to participate. If you have any high school students that would like to attend, please provide the following information to Tonesha Smith 817-714-7202 |
