On Saturday, December 12 members of SHPE LM Aero partnered with FIRST, the Perot Museum, LM MFC HOLA employee resource group, our SHPE UTA student chapter, and Trinity HS to support the FIRST Lego League (FLL) local qualifying tournament hosted at Trinity HS in Euless. There were a total of 8 attendees that volunteered to be judges of the FLL Teams community service projects, robot design, and ethical core values activities. The tournament consisted of 30 4th to 8th grade middle school student teams from all over the North Texas area competing to move on to the regional FLL tournament. The goal of FLL is to promote science and engineering by engaging young students in a fun, competitive environment focused on promoting teamwork and ethical core values through principle called gracious professionalism. If you would like to participate in future community service events or be a future judge for FFL, please contact James Narey. |
