This semester, we mentored 11 students (roughly 2 kids per Lego kit). The kids were able to follow directions in building the robot with little guidance, but we did find that when it came to programming, the interest wasn’t there. Programming the robot is an area where we need to improve. The next set of kids will be coming in on 30 January 2017, where we could test out new ways of introducing programing earlier in the semester. Kids from both semesters will then participate in the Lockheed Martin plant tour towards the end of the school year. Chaperon’s will be needed!
