On Saturday, July 23, the SHPE LM Aero, Dallas-Fort Worth Professional Chapters and Region 5 co-hosted a Summer BBQ Lake Day Social at the Isle Du Bois State Park on Lake Ray Roberts. The purpose of the event is to allow professionals and students to network in a family fun environment. There was over 85 attendees from 10 different chapters represented including LM Aero and the DFW professional chapters, and University of Houston, UT Arlington, UT El Paso, UNT, UT Dallas, Texas A&M, University of California – Fresno, and Florida Atlantic University student chapters.  The event also allowed summer interns visiting the Dallas-Fort Worth area for the summer to get the opportunity to network with other local SHPE chapters. Hope to see you at a future SHPE event!
