On May 6th, the chapter held its 5th annual Spring Charity Golf Tournament at The Resort Golf Club on Eagle Mountain Lake. The tournament was a resounding success with great weather, 20 teams participating, and over $4,000 being generated for our student high school scholarship fund in support of those pursuing a Science Technology Engineering or Math (STEM) degree at their accepted university. The participating attendees not only enjoyed a game of golf but also a light breakfast, burgers for lunch, and the opportunity to win raffle prizes. The event was also memorable as the chapter recognized our outgoing Executive Sponsor, Tom Bradley, for his gracious support of SHPE and our local chapter throughout many years at Lockheed. We wish Tom all the best with his retirement and hope he enjoys our Golf Buddy gift!  This event allowed the SHPE at LM Aero chapter to meet its 2015-2016 goal of raising funds for four $2,500 scholarships which will be awarded to students on June 9th during a private luncheon. Thank you to everyone who contributed, and a special thank you to all our volunteers with a special shout out to Samantha Dominguez, Juan Pablo Gonzalez, and James Narey for all their hard work!
