Three Chapter members including one Board of Directors attended the 2016 Region 5 Leadership Development Conference (RLDC) hosted by the SHPE University of Houston student and the Houston Professional Chapter on March 4-5 in Houston.  The purpose of RLDC is to have a Mini-Conference at the regional level and provide the necessary leadership training and networking for professional-student interaction. A special thank you to board member, James Narey for presenting a professional workshop on PMP Certification.
SHPE LM Aero took home the following awards this year – Blue Chip Award for scoring at least 800 points out of 900, Outstanding Community Outreach chapter of the year for holding 3 Junior chapter mentoring programs, 2 Noches, 1 ACE event, 1 college day, 1 industry day, scholarship program, and our very own Samantha Dominguez received the 2016 SHPE Region 5 Spirit of SHPE award!! Congratulations Sam on all of your passion, dedication, and motivation.
