The United Way of Tarrant County’s Blueprint for Board Service program is an impactful opportunity to learn from and network with fellow professionals who are passionate about addressing our community’s most critical issues. Participants learn how to drive change in our community while serving on a nonprofit board, council or committee. Participation is limited to 30 people, and the session topics may include, but are not limited to: Community Needs Assessment, Legal and Ethical Transparency, Governance, Board Diversity, Nonprofit Finance and Accounting, Evaluations and Outcomes, and Outreach and Advocacy. The evening sessions culminate in a speed networking exercise with current board members of United Way and our partner agencies, not only to provide a time for additional learning, but also to match participants with available opportunities to serve. Congratulations to our Vice President of Community Service, Lorena Loucel, for completing the 2016 Blue Print for Board service program.
