The SHPE Great Minds in Stem for LM Aero/HOLA Fort Worth took place on Friday, October 21. Our members, Armando Contreras and Vanessa Herrera, recently attended the 3rd annual Great Minds in STEM Viva Technology Day sponsored by Lockheed Martin Corporation at Daggett Middle School in Fort Worth.
The students worked in teams alongside their LM professional mentors and college student captains from UTA and TCU to compete in three STEM design challenges including a Geodesic Dome, Mechanical Launcher and a grand finale Innovation Challenge to solve a complex global challenge.
