On Saturday, February 18, 2016, recently attended the Texas A&M University (TAMU) Junior College Day tour program on the Texas A&M University campus in the Emerging Technologies Building (ETB). The purpose of the event was to promote a STEM education and provide college preparation workshops to help ease the transition from high school to college of young students through networking and mentoring.

This was the second annual Advancing Careers in Engineering (ACE) event between the SHPE LM Aero and TAMU SHPE chapters with our SHPE Jr. Chapters. There were a total of 41 SHPE Junior high school students in attendance including students/teacher. This event is a model for demonstrating the SHPE STEM pipeline working together between a professional chapter, college chapter and SHPE Junior high school chapters working together to organize a SHPE Junior College Day.
