The SHPE Lego Lab at Leonard Middle School has finished for the 2013-2014 school year. The final session took place on May 21st where the kids were treated to a pizza party and a movie. During the Lego Lab, the students worked with Lego Mindstorms kits to build robots and get hands on experience with engineering. The Lego Mindstorm kits also allowed the students to program their robots (via Labview) to do various tasks and get exposure to another type of engineering discipline. This lab usually takes place for one hour every Wednesday as an afterschool program offered during the academic school year.
